Event details

A five-kilometre route and a one-kilometre accessible loop, both starting and finishing at 123 Innovation Drive. This is the least competitive race you will ever enter: residents in wheelchairs set off first, and the finish line stays up until the last person is through it.

• Two routes — a 5km circuit and a flat, fully accessible 1km loop suitable for wheelchairs and walking frames
• Staggered starts from 9:00am, with the accessible loop leaving first
• Marshals, water stations and a first-aid post at every kilometre
• Pledges collected by distance, so a single lap raises as much as a supporter has promised per kilometre

Entry is free for residents and ten pounds for guests. Sponsorship forms are available at reception and online, and participants can collect pledges either as a flat donation or per kilometre completed.

Families are welcome to walk alongside a resident for any part of either route. Several of our regulars have walked the accessible loop with three generations at once, which is very much the point.

The event runs until 5:00pm whatever the weather. Please dress for the day and let us know in advance if you would like a marshal to accompany you.
