About the Basic Care Plan
The Basic Care Plan is for someone who is largely independent but should not be entirely on their own. It covers the daily structure that keeps a household running — meals, housekeeping, medication prompts and a check-in from someone who knows what normal looks like — without the level of hands-on support that would feel intrusive to a person who does not yet need it.
What’s Included
We start from the routine that exists rather than imposing one. Visit times, meal preferences and the order things happen in are set with you in the first week and written into the plan, so a carer arriving for the first time gets the morning right. Nothing in this plan requires anyone to be at home waiting.
Daily meals and housekeeping
Basic medication reminders
Access to community activities
On-call nursing support (limited hours)
Safe and secure environment
Built around the day you already have
It is the plan that keeps someone in their own home for longer. It is also the easiest to step up from: everything recorded here carries directly into the Assisted Living Plan if needs change, so nothing has to be explained twice.
