Annual Gala Dinner

Event details

Our Annual Gala Dinner brings residents, families, staff and supporters together for an evening of good food, live music and genuine celebration. It is the one night of the year when everyone connected with Oldage is in the same room, and it remains our largest single fundraiser for the resident activities programme.

• A three-course dinner served from 4:00pm, with vegetarian, texture-modified and allergen-free options prepared to order
• Live entertainment from a quartet drawn from our own volunteer musicians
• A silent auction of donated experiences, with bidding open throughout the evening
• Short speeches from residents and families about the year, kept deliberately short

This year's event is hosted online as well as in person, so families who cannot travel can join the speeches and the auction from home. The stream opens fifteen minutes before the meal is served and stays open until the close.

Every penny raised goes to the activities fund, which pays for the garden, the minibus outings and the visiting musicians. Last year's gala funded a full season of both.

Places are limited by the size of the dining room. Families are asked to confirm numbers and any dietary requirements two weeks beforehand so the kitchen can plan properly.
